Meeting in CHURCH isn't an indicator that they are of CHRIST.
Some years ago, I met a young man in church months after I gave my life to Christ. I've always been a MORALIST(story for another day😊).
Chinedu ( not real name) was one of the fervent brothers in my fellowship. Always preaching against immorality, and all. This made me feel comfortable around him, and allowed him to visit me in my apartment (a room) while in school.
On his first visit, I noticed he was stylishly touching me in the course of our conversation, I waved it off. I don't want to be the one misinterpreting a Godly brother. So, I think. Not until he was done eating, and he tried to kiss me.
I was astonished. I told him not to allow the devil use him. Uncle said, it wasn't a big deal. Haa! The same person that preaches against immorality. The one that tells us to be like Joseph and be disciplined. Isn't this the same brother that blast in tongues? I couldn't believe my eyes.
As a young believer, Uncle cajoled me with words then, and I began to believe them all.
I wished I never allowed the fact that we met in Church to cloud my mind.
That You met him/her in the church doesn't mean they're of Christ. He quote scriptures without checking the Bible isn't enough reason o. She speaks in tongue doesn't mean she's genuinely born again o. Shine your eyes. Increase your spiritual antenna mbok.
