Everyone desires to win the AWARD but only a few are willing and able to pay the price for the WARD.
As we try to unravel the secrets behind getting awards, the next word to look into is WARD. Ward in this context doesn’t mean a place of treatment but an inner chamber where a few people or things with similarities are kept. For instance, WARDROBE is the ward that houses the robes (wears).
Let’s use an hospital setting as our case study. Before you get admitted into the ward, you must first make it to the building, that’s the war zone. Not everyone who makes it to hospital building makes it to the ward even though they require treatment. Some people move from the compound and get into the reception and probably get tested, given prescriptions of drugs to get and from that point they return.
But some other people need much more than that and they are willing and able to PAY THE PRICE therefore they get admitted into the ward. These are the ones the doctor and nurses give special attention to.
This implies that, until you make it into the ward, you’re not even on the list of those to be considered for the award in that field. Secondly, how long you’re able to endure the condition in the ward also matters.
This is why you have millions of people who can kick the ball but at the end of the year only one is recognized as the Best Footballer of the year amongst the last three standing in the ward.
You must be willing to become the very best if you really desire to go home with the award. Are you still at the war zone or you’ve gained admission into the ward?
