In life, when you get a CLUE on what next to do or in what direction to head next, be sure to also wait to get a CUE.
In the filmmaking world, a cue is a signal to let a character know WHEN to get into action. This means, a cue gives the perfect timing when an action should be performed, coming in earlier or later than that time can mess up the whole story. That is why actors don’t just perform their roles and drop their dialogues as they like even know they have a vivid knowledge of the whole script from page one to the end.
The issue with most people is, as soon as they get a clue on what next to do, they don’t wait for that timing while others in the name of waiting for the perfect time act after the cue.
Knowing what next to do is good but knowing WHEN to do it is much more better as you don’t have to put things solely in the hands of luck.
