I once met a wise man and the most striking statement he made in the course of our conversation was, “Focus on your focus until you become the focus”.
With such a statement constantly ringing on one’s mind, it becomes difficult for one to be distracted by the things around so easily. To focus on something is to have your attention fixed on that thing. You’re so concentrated that the whole of you is glued to it.
This is how you should treat your goals, you must give them complete attention so much that the whole of you and all you have are channeled in the direction of those goals, thereby giving no room for distractions. With such a mindset, you’re already picturing yourself achieving a particular goal as you have a clear mental picture of what it will look like when the goal becomes a reality.
Becoming your goal therefore requires you focusing so much on that goal such that on a daily basis you’re getting more closer to fulfilling that goal than you were the day before. Don’t stop focusing until you finally become the focus. No matter the goal you’ve set for yourself, let your eyes and mind be fixed on it until you become the goal.
