First, we said for any goal to be achieved you must go for it, then we agreed there’s need for a log to help account for the goal. We went further to state the three key elements that will be required for the achievement of any goal, time, effort and resources. But one thing is key for all these elements to produce the desired result.
FOCUS is the must have key that makes the goal possible. Most times, we set goals, pen them down, start acquiring the resources needed, put in some of our time and effort but along the line we LOSE FOCUS. Once you lose focus, even when you have all the necessary resources and you’re given all the time needed, you can’t achieve your goals.
Anything that makes you lose your focus from your goal simply distracts you and once concentration is out of the equation it means something else has captured the mind. Every other thing might be available, but once the mind is out of the picture, the unifying magnet that makes others function together as one is gone.
Losing focus is very cheap as you don’t need to do anything to lose it. Why? There’re so many things around calling for your attention all at the same time which is more than enough to DISTRACT you. You can’t be aiming for the finish line in a race and concentrate on those cheering you up from the crowd while the race is still on.
Focusing on a goal isn’t taught as it’s a thing of the mind. If you must achieve your goals, you must learn to control your mind to stay on a course without getting distracted. Once your mind is on the goal, then you can have a hold on other things to make the goal a success.
