One of the major factors in decision making, FEAR. If decision is destiny, then it means fear has an important role to play in a man’s destination. What then is fear?
FEAR is a product of your EAR. Nothing captures your mind faster than the things you hear. This is why the DEAF barely react to things the same way one who’s not deaf does.
What you hear have a great impact on you and that will form the basis of your action. Let’s take a few instances to make it clearer. You’re in your room at about 10pm and you hear a sound similar to that of a gunshot close to your gate, would you sleep peacefully? You’re in the forest and you hear the sound similar to that of a Lion, having seen nothing do you sit comfortably or start moving?
This has proven to be true when it comes to decision making as our next line of action is mostly dependent on what we’ve heard others share in the past. Oh you still disagree? If I may, why don’t you want to go to hell, because you’ve once been there physically to experience the pain or because you’ve heard about the place?
This was why some people didn’t attend the college they had in mind, marry the person they felt bonded to, do the business that they love, follow a career path that appeals to them most, didn’t invest in an opportunity when it was new... All these happened not because they’ve experienced for themselves the outcomes of following that path but because of what they’ve heard. Mathematics is a difficult subject and it’s compulsory for Science students that’s why some people went to a different department.
An holy book says, “FAITH cometh by HEARING and HEARING of...”. If faith is built on hearing then so is fear. Before your next major decision, be intentional as to what to hear and what not to.
If all you hear of as regards cars is accident, I’m sorry you might never own one nor drive one. Most of the products you use are based on someone else’s recommendations and vice versa.
Before you feed your FEAR, let your mind have a fair take on the subject matter. If the Israelites knew there was RED SEA ahead, they wouldn’t have followed Moses.
On what basis are your fears formed? A dead man hears nothing that is why the noise of war means nothing to him. Remember, negative vibes travel faster than positive ones.
