A word everyone is always eager to hear, most use it but only a few understands it.
Most people think because it’s FREE there’s no FEE but they fail to realize that the only letter standing in between fee is “R” which stands for RELATIONSHIP.
Everything in life has a fee which requires a form of payment to get it either through a legal medium of exchange or service. But the things that you get “free” in life are things you seem not to give anything in exchange for but actually your relationships paid for them.
What you got for free is what someone else actually paid for but handed over to you in exchange for nothing because of the relationship. Relationship here can be direct or indirect. Look properly at the things you got for free and see if there are connections between you and those who gave them to you. I’m sure it’s a yes.
Until we understand this, we won’t be able to place right value on those things that comes freely to us and make best use of them. This is why most of the things we get for free seems to depreciate so quickly in our hands.
Let’s see some of those things that appear free and how relationships paid for them.
* Your dad gave you your tuition fee free.
* Your friend’s mum bought you a dress on her last trip.
Relationship: Friend to her daughter.
* Your uncle bought you a car as birthday gift.
* A seller gives you one extra product free after you made your purchase.
* You got a free ride
Relationship: Same direction.
* You got free food from the government
* Got a full scholarship
Now remove yourself from all these positions and ask yourself, if you weren’t the person in those scenarios will those things still have come to you for free? NO!
When we begin to see the real cost of things that comes to us freely and what it would have meant if we weren’t in those positions, it would help us maximize the use of those free items or services, appreciate those who handed them over to us freely and help value the things that bonds us together.
Even breathe has a fee, if you don’t agree visit an hospital and see those living on paid oxygen.
That it’s free doesn’t reduce it’s value therefore cherish every free gift and opportunity you get, nature could have directed them elsewhere.
If you misuse the things you get for free now, soon you might have to pay the fee to access them again.
